According to a report by the Legal Medicine Organization, as many as 90 people lost their lives in work-related accidents in Tehran province during the first four months of the current fiscal year (started in March). Of the total deceased 88 were men. The number of the fatal accidents is 34% higher than in the similar period last year, IRNA reported.  Falling from height, being struck by hard objects, burns, and suffocation were the leading causes of workplace deaths, said the head of the LMO Masoud Qadi-Pasha.

Tehran has the highest rate of work-related accidents and the highest percentage of fatalities is in the 25-34 age group.
