Heavy flooding disrupted traffic and blocked roads and passageways in Golestan Province, Fartaknews reported. The inundation continued until Wednesday morning affecting Minodasht, Kolale, Aliabad, and Azadshahr counties. There were no reports of casualties. However water entered into some homes in the area. According to the report of Iran’s Meteorological Organization the highest rainfall (75mm) was recorded in Azadshahr. Iran’s Red Crescent Society sent 14 rescue teams, comprising of 80 rescuers, to help the flood-stricken areas.
