Warmer Weather Forecast

With the passage of an unusual cold wave, which brought along rainfall for a couple of days over the weekend, temperatures are expected to rise over the next week.

According to Masoumeh Ahmadi, an official at the Iran Meteorological Organization, the weather condition will exit the country in the coming days after passing through parts of Sistan-Baluchestan, Hormozgan and Fars provinces in the south.

“Southwest and southeast areas will experience more significant temperature increases,” she said, Borna News Agency reported.

Dust and sand storms caused by the 120-day winds in Sistan-Baluchestan will continue until the end of the week but will gradually subside in the coming days leading to warmer weather.

The mercury in Ahvaz, the capital of Khuzestan Province, as well as the cities of Mehran, Ilam and Mousian in Ilam Province is expected to rise over 50 degrees Celsius.

The temperature in Tehran will begin to rise noticeably from Wednesday.
