Men comprise the majority (50.8%) on social networks, according to the Iranian Students Polling Agency (affiliated to the Iranian Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research). More than half of Iranians are not members of any social networks. While 46.8% are active on at least one online social media, among whom 62.7% are married, nearly 52% of Iranians are not members of any social platform, ISNA reports. Mobile Internet users in Iran have more than tripled in the past two years. Of social media platforms used in Iran, Telegram messenger has a 55% share and Instagram 23%.
