Travelers to Georgia should avoid carrying medications as the country has strict rules for sedatives and pain killers. Carrying medications is banned even when travelers have a physician’s prescription, according to Georgia customs rules. Drugs that should not be carried include acetaminophen codeine, cold tablets, chlordiazepoxide, diphenoxylate, clonazepam, amitriptyline, tramadol, diazepam and oxazepam, IRNA reported. The medications are available at Georgia’s drugstores, if needed. Bringing them into the country can lead to heavy fines and even jail terms.
