The World Health Organization confirmed on Sunday that cholera deaths in Yemen had risen to 473, a month after the epidemic resurged. Although the epidemic had shown signs of slowing, it has again resurfaced, with 42,207 suspected cases and 470 deaths in the past month, the WHO website reported.

The global health agency continues to work with local health authorities and partners to scale up the response to the disease. Fourteen new diarrhea treatment centers have been set up across the country, in addition to the 26 treatment centers established during the first wave of the outbreak less than a year ago.
