Int’l Congress on Mental Practices

The first international congress on ‘Mental Practices and Behavioral Neuroscience’ will be held October 26-28 at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Khorasan Razavi Province, said Dr Mahdi Fathi, scientific secretary of the congress and a board member of the university, on Sunday. Mental activities for patients with mental disorders, mentally stimulating activities for those with degenerative spinal injuries, mental practices to enhance learning abilities and in rehabilitation, and Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) for addictive behaviors, are subjects to be discussed, IRNA quoted him as saying. National experts as well as neuroscientists from Germany, Belgium, and Sweden will attend the confab.
