Meth in Weight Loss Supplements

Weight loss supplements sold in herbal stores may contain methamphetamines, said Amir Hossein Jamshidi a senior FDA official on Monday.  “As herbal store supplements are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration, people should buy dietary supplements only from drugstores,” Young Journalists Club (YJC) quoted him as saying.  People who use meth as a way to lose weight, put themselves at severe risk of tooth decay, tooth loss, and severe mental illnesses as well, he warned.
