Int’l Nanotech Confab in Karaj

The first International Conference on Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine (NTMN 2017) organized by the Inter-Islamic Nanotechnology Network (INN) is to be held May 2-3 at the Institute of Materials and Energy in Karaj, capital of Alborz Province. The two-day confab will provide a platform for nanomedicine and nanobiotechnology researchers to present their new achievements to the pharmaceutical industry in order to improve the quality of existing products and develop new ones. A two-day international workshop is also part of the event, Mehr News Agency reported. Twenty researchers and scientists from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) and ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF) will attend the conference, besides keynote speakers from Canada, the UK, the Netherlands, Japan, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Turkey, and Norway. The INN was formed by COMSTECH in 2016 due to the importance of nanotechnology and its use in various fields, with its headquarters in Iran.
