Italy-Iran Scientific Confab

The first joint conference on Iran-Italy Scientific and Research Cooperation held on Wednesday in Tehran was attended by ministers of science from both sides.
Italian Minister of Education, University and Research Valeria Fedeli arrived in Tehran on Tuesday at the head of a 150-strong delegation comprising heads of universities, research centers, and companies from that country.
The conference began by signing a memorandum of understanding for scientific and academic cooperation, IRNA reported.
Fedeli noted that the joint scientific committee formed last September was a major step in the direction of increased cooperation, and hoped the agreement would accelerate scientific growth in both countries.
