The International Development Program (IDP Education) held its Study Abroad Roadshow in Iran for the first time on Wednesday (March 29th) at Tehran’s Parsian Evin Hotel.

The event, which the IDP has been running for many years around the region, offers students and parents the opportunity to meet face to face with university representatives from Australia, Canada and the UK to explore study options.

Some of world’s top universities including the University of Adelaide, Monash University and the University of New South Wales from Australia were among the participating institutions. The UK was represented by University of Westminster, Brunel University, and University of Bradford.

IDP started operating in Iran in January 2016 through a partnership with IRSAFAM Institute, one of the major IELTS test centers for IDP in Iran.

“The Study Abroad Roadshow is a major event for IDP Education and is organized every year in different countries around the world,” said Ahmed Elsayed, IDP representative for the Middle East, IRNA reported.

“We are committed to help students make the right decisions regarding their overseas education through our highly trained counselors and comprehensive services”.

IDP Education has been offering student placement services for more than 45 years and is partly-owned by Australian universities and has strong ties with all education institutions. Moreover, IDP offers student placement programs in the US, UK, Canada and New Zealand, in addition to being a co-owner of IELTS (the internationally recognized English proficiency test) with the British Council and the University of Cambridge.

As of 2014, over 120,000 Iranian students were studying abroad, most of them in Malaysia, the US, Canada, Germany, Turkey, the UK and Tajikistan.

According to a report released by Iran’s National Organization for Civil Registration (NOCR), the US, UAE, Canada, the UK, Germany, France and Sweden, were the top seven destinations for Iranians.

IDP Education is a world leader in international student placement services. The institute’s global network of 80 centers helps students from 50 countries to study in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the US and the UK. One student is placed in an educational institution every 20 minutes across the globe.

The institute is partially co-owned by 38 Australian universities. It has placed more than 400,000 students into quality institutions in Australia, the UK, the US, Canada and New Zealand.
