Iran and Italy will hold the first meeting on joint scientific cooperation in April, said Vahid Ahmadi, deputy head of research at the Science Ministry. “The meet aims to provide new opportunities for universities and technology and knowledge-based companies based at science and technology parks in both countries,” he said Mehr News Agency reported. Other objectives include development of links among research centers and high tech companies for promotion of technology transfer of products, services and innovation capacities; promoting the top scientific and technological trends through bilateral dialogues among organizations; and supporting cooperation in the fields of research, innovation and development. The first Iran-Italy Joint Meeting on Scientific Cooperation is slated for April 19-20 in Tehran.
