Painting Exhibit for Labor Children

The charity ‘Pooyesh NGO’ that supports labor children in Tehran is holding a group painting exhibition March 3-10. The proceeds of the exhibit will go to providing schooling material, clothes, and tuition fee for out-of-school children working in brick kilns in southern and southeastern Tehran, IRNA reported. The event, titled ‘Eight Years Old Is Too Late’, has sent out no print invitations as part of their cause to conserve the environment, IRNA reported. The exhibition will be held at Sadifi Gallery on Enghelab Street in downtown Tehran. The NGO was set up in 2009 by a number of university students in southeast part of Tehran. It is part of the Helpers’ Network or the ‘Network to Help Children in Labor’, a broad bloc of NGOs active in protection and support of labor children.
