Fifty student associations on brain and cognitive sciences will open simultaneously across Iranian universities on the occasion of the National Brain Awareness Week. Organized by the Iranian Neuroscience Society (INS) and themed ‘Know Your Brain’, the week will be observed from February 19-25, ahead of its global celebration from March 13-19, Mehr News Agency reported. “Fostering more activities, research, and cooperation on brain and pertinent sciences is on the agenda,” said INS head Dr. Mohammad Taqi Joghataei. The week serves as a platform for launching year-round brain awareness activities. It is an opportunity to let people know about the progress done in brain research as well as in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of brain disorders.
