The new Heravi subway station located on Metro Line 3 in Tehran Municipality District 4 was inaugurated on Saturday. According to Tehran Urban and Suburban Railways Organization, 10 escalators have been installed at this station which comes before Hossein-Abad and Nobonyad stations, IRNA reported. The busy 37 km Line 3 runs from the city’s northeast starting from Shahrak-e-Qa’em and terminating at Azadegan Station in the southwest. In all, there are 117 subway stations on Tehran Metro which carries more than 3 million passengers a day on its five operational lines. Lines 6 and 7 are under construction.
