Fifty new health projects will simultaneously be inaugurated during the 10-Day Dawn (Fajr) Festivities to mark the anniversary of the February 11, 1979 Islamic Revolution. “The projects are funded by philanthropists at the Iran Health Charity Association,” said its deputy head Seyyed Mohammad Tabatabai on Sunday, Mehr News Agency reported. Two more projects will kick off during the 10-day celebrations. Since its establishment in 2009, the charity has spent over 40,000 billion rials ($1 billion) on construction of medical projects across the country. A total of 14 medical centers have been established in the outlying areas of Tehran, and lesser developed regions of the province. The goal of the charity is to contribute to the health system, and help systematize all humanitarian activities in healthcare.
