The Health Ministry has sent a team of mental health experts to the scene of the Plasco building collapse to provide psychological support to those affected by the tragic event. “The teams have been stationed in the area to provide mental support, help alleviate post-traumatic stress among firefighters still busy with rescue operations, and families whose members are missing,” said Ali Asadi, deputy head of the ministry’s Psychology and Health Department, ISNA reported. The 17-storey commercial building in downtown Tehran collapsed on Thursday after catching fire, injuring over 100 people and trapping dozens of people who include firefighters, business owners, and reporters.
