The Iran-Austria joint conference was held Sunday at Tehran’s Kharazmi University in the presence of Iranian deputy ministers for education and an academic delegation from Vienna. “The 21-strong academic delegation discussed cooperation in fields of technology and engineering, geology, art and culture, humanities, and teacher training,” said Gholamreza Karimi, director of international affairs at Kharazmi, University, Mehr News Agency reported. The Austrian academics who arrived on Friday held a two-hour meeting with their Iranian counterparts on Saturday, where they signed a memorandum of understanding pledging to allocate $200,000 each to joint research and science projects.
