The State Welfare Organization has plans to issue specific protocols to all kindergartens across the country to improve their services. “We aim to enhance the quality of services offered in all kindergartens with those in urban areas on priority,” said Dr. Habibollah Masoudi Farid, social deputy at the SWO, IRNA reported.

All kindergartens across the country are ranked from one to three stars based on their performance, but only 1,000 out of the 17,000 active kindergartens have received the distinction of three stars.

Kindergartens are evaluated based on spatial features, skills of the teachers, and performance in terms of programs and activities, he said.  Only 10% of Iranian children go to kindergarten.
