New Specialty Wards at Loghman Hospital

New specialty wards for MRI, ICU, and neurosurgery were opened at Loghman-e-Hakim Hospital in Tehran on Monday in the presence of Health Minister Seyed Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi. Around 21.5 billion rials ($0.5 million) was allocated for the new wards, IRNA reported. Loghman Hakim Educational Hospital affiliated to Tehran’s Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBUMS) was constructed in 1971 and offers specialized services to patients suffering from chemical and drug intoxications. At present, the 420-bed hospital has 20 clinics including in toxicology, dermatology, neurology, pediatric endocrinology, pediatric hematology, and cardiology, among others.
