A traditional medicine course with two credits has been added to all fields of contemporary medicine and pharmacy at universities of medical sciences across the country, said director of the Traditional Medicine Office at the Health Ministry. “We are progressing in traditional medicine, and need to integrate it into the higher education curricula,” said Mahmoud Khodadoust on Thursday, ISNA reported. Last July, the ministry had announced plans to set up a chain of herbal pharmacies across the 31 provinces which would function separately from the chemical pharmacies.
