Shiraz, Cyprus Varsities in Coop.

A memorandum of understanding in academic cooperation was signed between University of Shiraz in Fars Province and Cyprus International University (CIU) located in the capital North Nicosia. The MoU was signed by Chancellor of CIU Halil Nadiri and Deputy Chancellor of University of Shiraz Seyed Aliakbar Safavi on Sunday, the Public Relations Department of Shiraz University reported. “The CIU is ready to implement joint plans with our Iranian counterpart,” Nadiri said. The areas of cooperation include research on scientific methods in potable water issues in Cyprus, as well as publishing a joint scientific journal at the CIU. Safavi said Shiraz University seeks to promote international communications, and the MoU would provide proper grounds for exchange of students and instructors, undertaking joint projects and holding study courses in addition to international conferences.
