Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi performed 12 free eye surgeries on poor patients in a mobile clinic in Qasr-e Qand County in Sistan Baluchestan Province on Saturday. “The mobile clinic with ophthalmology equipment was set up in the county by Noavaran-e-Salamat Charity Foundation established in 2005 by Hashemi,” said Amir Hossein Jafari, executive director of the charity, and coordinator of the health minister’s programs in underprivileged areas, IRNA reported. Since its establishment, the charity has provided 6,000 free eye surgeries to the needy in 22 provinces.
