2 Iranians Among USERN Awardees

The USERN Prize was conferred for the first time on five awardees at the 1st International Congress of Universal Scientific Education and Research Network (USERN) held November 8-10 at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. The awardees were Dr. Jamshid Aghaei (Iran), Iranian-American Morteza Mahmoudi (the US), Alexander Leemans (Belgium), Lucas Joppa (the US), and Floris de Lange (the Netherlands). They were selected from among 500 participants, and each received $10,000 as cash prize, Mehr News Agency reported. USERN was established in 2015 as an independent organization in promotion of education and research globally. The USERN prize is an international award bestowed to junior scientists or researchers less than 40 years of age for any novel advancement or achievement in scientific education, research, or service to humanity in five scientific fields of medical sciences, life sciences, formal sciences, physics, and social sciences. USERN constitutes the world’s top 1% scientists and researchers and currently, has over 2,200 members from 60 countries.
