Researchers Design Brain Stimulator

Researchers of Amirkabir University of Technology in partnership with Cognitive Sciences and Technologies Council have designed a device that stimulates the brain and is used in treatment of Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and depression. “The brain stimulator has been successful in clinical trials and cognitive researches,” said supervisor of the project Farzad Tohidkhah, IRNA reported. He noted that variations of the device have previously been designed in Spain, Germany and the US. “The device has been developed in two models capable of producing alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC),” he added.
