A medical technician was killed when an air ambulance with five people on board crashed on Wednesday morning, said Seyed Mostafa Mortazavi, spokesman for the Relief and Rescue Organization at the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS).

“The helicopter ambulance hit a power pylon in Gazanak region, Haraz road, Mazandaran Province. The reason for the accident was reduced pilot vision due to the presence of dust particles in the air,” Tabnak News Agency quoted him as saying.

Since the year 2014, a total of 21 air emergency stations have been opened that have helped transport over 4,000 patients and injured people to medical centers and hospitals through 2,600 flights.
