Heavy rainfall over the past four days caused flooding in six provinces of Sistan-Baluchistan, Fars, Kerman, Golestan, Khorasan Razavi, and South Khorasan, affecting 41 towns, villages, and nomadic settlements. “By Saturday morning, almost 1,000 people were provided relief aid and 3,000 were given emergency shelter in over 60 tents,” said Nasser Charkhsaz, head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society’s Relief and Rescue Operations, Khabaronline reported. He said over 400 care packages have been distributed among those affected, and contingency services continue in Sistan-Baluchistan and South Khorasan.
