Iran and Romania are planning to broaden scientific cooperation, said Minister of Science, Research and Technology Mohammad Farhadi in a meeting with Romanian Ambassador to Tehran Christian Teodorescu, on Tuesday.  “Iran is keen on implementing the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on setting up joint educational courses, university student and professor exchange programs and promotion of Persian language in Romania,” he was quoted as saying by IRNA.

Farhadi said he was pleased to note that Teodorescu has good command of the Persian language and his knowledge on Iran is admirable. The Romanian envoy who is a graduate of Iranology from Tehran University thanked the minister and called for implementation of the MoU signed between their respective ministries of science several years ago.
