Seven paragliding drug-traffickers who were attempting to carry illicit drugs from neighboring Afghanistan into Iran’s northeastern Khorasan Razavi Province were arrested, the provincial police chief said. “The traffickers, all paragliders, were planning to move the drugs by glider aircraft,” said Brigadier General Bahman Amiri Moqaddam, IRNA reported. The police said further search operations continue and seven members of the group have been arrested. Moqaddam said 106 kg of drugs, including heroin and crystal methamphetamine were seized from the smugglers.
