Developing a vaccine against both influenza and brucellosis is the latest research effort in the field of recombinant vaccines, said Mostafa Qanei, head of the Pasteur Institute of Iran, explaining the current projects of the institute. “One of the benefits of recombinant vaccines is that one vaccine can provide protection against multiple diseases at the same time,” IRNA quoted him as saying. He also said that the institute has developed the rabies vaccine. “If proved successful in human testing, the vaccine will be mass-produced in the future,” he said.
