An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 degrees on the Richter scale jolted Mourmouri town in the western Ilam Province late Saturday, according to a report by the Seismography Center of Tehran University’s Geophysics Institute. There were no reports of casualties or damages caused by the quake, IRNA reported. A strong earthquake, measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale, had rattled the province on August 18, damaging roads and water supply and electricity and telecommunication facilities. Flash floods have also hit Ilam and several neighboring provinces since October 28, causing more than $60 million in damage, including $15 million in agricultural losses.
