Iran’s traditional medicine sector has the potential to become a global industry, said deputy health minister Mahmoud Khodadoust. “The World Health Organization (WHO) has adopted a strategy to promote traditional medicines between 2014 and 2023, Mehr News Agency quoted him as saying. It aims at supporting member states in developing proactive policies and implementing plans that will strengthen the role of traditional medicine in the health sector, he noted.
