Three candidates are competing for the first vice president’s seat at Iran chamber of commerce, industries and mines. The first VP will be elected Sunday to act as deputy following the election of the current head Gholam-Hossein Shafei. The appointment came after the departure of former head Mohammad Nahavandian, who is now the chief of staff for President Hassan Rouhani. The candidates for the upcoming vote include Majid-Reza Hariri, the head of the import commission at the chamber, Ahmad-Reza Pourfallah, the head of the industries commission at the chamber, and Mohsen Chamanara, a member of board for representatives. Members of the chamber include both international and local companies, including lawyers, tourism companies, airlines, manufacturing companies, import and export businesses among others.
