Former envoy to the United Nations Gholam Hossein Dehqani will replace Araqchi to handle legal and international affairs.
Qasemi and Mohammad Kazem Sajjadpour will stay on as spokesperson and head of the Institute of Political and International Studies respectively.
Ambassador in New Delhi Gholamreza Ansari has been selected to take over the new economic department, which has been set up to help promote Iran's international trade.
Hossein Panahi-Azar will serve as deputy minister for consular and parliamentary affairs.
Former deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari and former deputy foreign minister for consular affairs Hassan Qashqavi have been chosen to advise Zarif as top political aide and top advisor respectively.
The new decrees will come into force as of Jan 21.
