The Research Institute of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) has established a business clinic in cooperation with Japan’s International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and US’s Johns Hopkins University to offer consultation services to entrepreneurs.

The clinic brings together 17 committees and is designed to help identify target markets, pinpoint the weaknesses of the market, promote productivity, help develop new concepts in management and a better understanding of business rules, promote energy productivity management, offer financial and ISO-related counseling, and identify advertisement best practices, ICCIMA Secretary General Hossein Mirmohammad Sadeqi said at the opening ceremony of the clinic on September 10, as reported by Iran Front Page.

“In light of the fact that promotion of productivity cannot happen overnight, the experience the Japanese have gained in the wake of the Second World War can be very useful in this regard,” Sadeghi said.

ICCIMA is a non-profit semi-governmental institution, established to facilitate economic development in the country. It is a forum in the field of industries, mines and agriculture which mainly seeks to facilitate cooperation among businesspeople and owners of industries, mines and agricultural units, provide advisory opinions to the government on commercial and economic issues as well as establishing joint chambers or committees of commerce, and identify export markets for Iranian products and services.
