Trump, Netanyahu Discuss Iran

US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed Iran in a phone call on Monday, a White House official told CNN.
Netanyahu’s office said on Monday the two leaders, who are vocal critics of the 2015 Iran nuclear accord, “spoke at length about the dangers posed by the nuclear deal with Iran and by Iran’s [alleged] malevolent behavior in the region” and pledged to work together to counter Iran.
Trump and Netanyahu have kept close ties since the former reality television star was elected and the Israeli premier visited the United States in February.
Israeli minister for military affairs, Avigdor Liberman, is set to travel to Washington this week for meetings with Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Defense Secretary James Mattis.
Netanyahu leaves for Moscow on Thursday to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss a range of issues, including Iran’s role in the Syria conflict.
