Deputy FM Meets Top Omani Diplomat  Deputy FM Meets Top Omani Diplomat

Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari met Oman's Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi, in Muscat on Tuesday. The two officials discussed ways of developing bilateral cooperation and tackling international challenges of mutual concern. Ansari described Oman as a "good neighbor" and the two countries' relations as "exemplary" in the region. The Iranian diplomat also praised Oman's Sultan Qaboos for "his constructive role in promoting stability and security in the region." He also presented a report on the fifth meeting of Iran-Oman Strategic Committee, which was held on Monday. Ansari was in Oman to attend the committee meeting, in which the Omani side was chaired by Acting Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs Mohammed bin Awadh Al Hassan. Bin Alavi hoped that under the proper management of high-ranking officials of the two countries, Tehran-Muscat cooperation will expand in various fields.
