Russia Deputy FM in Tehran

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov arrived in Tehran on Wednesday for talks with Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi on the July 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and major powers, including Russia. The Russian Embassy in Tehran had earlier announced that the two diplomats, who were involved in the negotiations that culminated in the landmark accord, were supposed to take stock of the progress made in the implementation of the agreement, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, Fars News Agency reported. The nuclear pact, which came into force in January, placed constraints on Tehran's nuclear work in return for relief from UN, US and EU nuclear-related sanctions.  Iran has voiced grievances that western parties to the JCPOA, particularly the United States, are not fully complying with the terms of the agreement, citing the remaining restrictions on international banks to finance trade deals with Iran.
