Raeisi to Visit Turkmenistan for ECO Summit

President Ebrahim Raeisi will be heading for the Turkmen capital Ashgabat on Saturday to take part in the 15th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization. 
He is set to deliver a speech at the event where he will present Iran’s position and suggestions on the expansion of regional and international relations, especially facilitating and improving cooperation and economic exchanges among the ECO members, ISNA reported. 
The president will also meet his participating counterparts to discuss ways to deepen bilateral ties. 
Meetings with Iranian business people residing in Turkmenistan is another plan on Raeisi’s agenda during this trip. 
Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan constitute 10 members of the ECO. 
Turkmenistan, which holds the rotating chairmanship of the organization, will host the 15th summit meeting on Sunday, Nov. 28.
