Pipelines connecting offshore platforms of the South Pars Gas Field's phases 6-8 in the Persian Gulf to the offshore refineries of phases 4-5 have gone on stream, adding 3 million cubic meters to the facilities' gas transfer capacity.
According to the Oil Ministry's news portal, Shana, upon its full implementation, the 1.7-kilometer pipeline will have the capacity of transferring 11 mcm per day.
The pipeline is being laid with the aim of supporting the offshore platforms of phases 4-5, utilizing the full potential of phases 6-8 and boosting gas sweetening capacity of phase 4-5 refineries. Pars Oil and Gas Company is implementing the project with the help of a domestic contractor. All the construction procedures are being conducted by Iranian experts.
