Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant's first unit in southern Iran has generated 27.5 million kilowatt-hours of electricity since it went on stream in 2011. According to IRNA, of this figure, 25million KWh have been added to the national power grid.   Reportedly, high-tech installations in the nuclear power plant comply with international standards and there is no concern regarding security issues. The unit has produced 7 million KWh since the beginning of the current fiscal in March, of which 6.3 million KWh were delivered to the national network.  According to Hossein Ghaffari, the head of the power plant, the production capacity of the complex stands at one gigawatt and 220,000 tons of water are directed toward the plant from the Persian Gulf per hour to keep the reactor cool. "One-third of the power plants' apparatus must be revamped after generating 7 million kilowatt-hours of electricity," he said.
