Iranian parliamentarians met with a delegation of Dutch and Chinese companies on Wednesday to discuss the country’s investment opportunities in the energy sector, including those in the oil-rich Khuzestan Province in southern Iran.

Fereydoun Hassanvand, the head of Majlis Energy Commission, and Majid Nasserinejad, the representative of Shadegan in Khuzestan Province, attended the meeting with representatives of the Netherlands-based company Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. and China’s Beijing Enterprises Water Group Limited, IRNA reported.

The two sides also discussed plans to form a workgroup to ease foreign investments in Iran.
