The first gas unit of Hengam Power Plant in Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan Province, with 307-megawatt capacity will come online in February, managing director of Iran's Thermal Power Plants Holding Company said.
“Hengam is among the first combined cycle plants in the country to use F-class gas turbines,” Bargh News quoted Mohsen Tarztalab as saying.
The plant will soon have another 307 MW gas unit and a 292 MW steam unit, which will raise total capacity to 906 MW. It will be fully operational next year and cost $560 million, he said.
