35% Rise in Paper Production

The production of all types of paper saw a 35% rise in the 10-month period since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2017-Jan. 20) compared with last year’s corresponding period to reach 640,000 tons, an official with the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade was quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency. “A 66% rise in the production of packing paper and a sixfold increase in its exports (70,000 tons), as well as a 57% decline in imports, were recorded for the 10-month period,” Parvin Nabati added.
