Iran, Netherlands Sign Economic Plan of Action

Senior ministerial officials of Iran and the Netherlands signed a joint plan of action on expansion of bilateral economic ties in the coming year.
In a meeting in The Hague, the Netherlands, on Friday, Iran’s Deputy Economy Minister Mohammad Khazaei and his Dutch counterpart, Martin Van den Berg, signed the plan of action for 2018, which entails cooperation in the fields of energy, water management, agriculture, shipping, banking, technology and airport development, Tasnim News Agency reported.
Tehran and Amsterdam have ramped up efforts to broaden trade ties after the nuclear agreement between Iran and P5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain and France, plus Germany) was implemented in January 2016. Trade exchange between the two countries was $650 million in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2017), more than $600 million of which pertain to Iranian imports from the Netherlands, IRNA reported.
