The First International Exhibition of Edible Oils, Oilseeds and Related Products, Machinery and Industries, also known as Seedex 2017, is scheduled for Nov. 28 to Dec. 1 in Tehran. Iranian as well as foreign producers from Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, India, Greece, Malaysia, Brazil, South Africa, China, Ukraine, Taiwan and Vietnam will showcase their latest products and services, IRNA reported. Domestic demand for raw edible oil amounts to 1.5 million tons per year, of which 1.4 million tons are mainly imported from Ukraine, South America and Malaysia. Per capita consumption of the product in the country amounts to 20 kilograms, which is higher than the global average of 13 kilograms.
