At present there is no trade between Iran and Saudi Arabia, the head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran said.
“There are no imports from Saudi Arabia and no exports are made to that destination, as we speak. Yet, no regulation has been passed or limitation placed on trade with the neighboring states and if certain countries have chosen to restrict their trade with Iran, that is a different issue. The private sector has not received any notice in this respect either and we have not fettered their activity,” Mojtaba Khosrotaj was also quoted as saying by Eranico.
Iran exported close to $151.32 million worth of goods to Saudi Arabia in the last Iranian year that ended on March 20, 2017, registering a 0.21% increase compared with the year before.
Imports from that country over the same period stood at $79.04 million, indicating a 4% rise compared with the previous year.
