Turkey’s Minister of Economic Affairs Nihat Zeybekci and Iran’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi–the Turkish and Iranian heads of Iran-Turkey Economic Commission–held a meeting in Tehran on Sunday. Heading a delegation, Zeybekci arrived in the Iranian capital on Saturday to survey the possibility of expanding the preferential trade agreement between the two countries, Mehr News Agency reported. At present, the two sides have 160 items each under their PTA. During their stay, the Turkish mission and representatives from Iran’s Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade will negotiate to add 40 items each to the the list of commodities.
