About 29,300 tons of eggs were exported during the seven months ending October 21, registering a decline of about 40% compared with last year’s corresponding period, the secretary-general of Iran’s Association of Egg-Laying Hen Producers said.
“Last [fiscal] year (March 2015-16), we exported close to 95,000 tons of eggs, but a repeat of this record this year seems unlikely,” Farzad Talakesh was quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.
