$5b Target for Iran-Brazil Trade

Plans are underway to increase trade between Iran and Brazil to $5 billion from the current $2 billion per annum, Brazil’s Minister of Mines and Energy Fernando Coelho Filho said in his meeting with Iran’s Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Ali Tayyebnia. Tayyebnia had left Tehran for Brasilia on Tuesday to attend a meeting of Brazil-Iran Economic Commission after a two-decade hiatus. This will be the fourth session of the joint commission. The third was held in 1995. Tayyebnia last visited Brazil in October 2015.
